ABOUT OUR PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL IN VALENTINE

Valentine Hydrotherapy Pools is a place where people come to swim laps, learn to swim and work toward their fitness goals. However, we are also a very important provider of hydrotherapy treatment to people with a disability, the elderly and those recovering from an injury.

The Valentine Swim School is also operated from our facility, providing quality swimming lessons throughout the week. All our teachers are nationally accredited and offer lessons for all ages and abilities. These include our comprehensive water confidence classes for babies and toddlers, learn to swim for preschool and school ages, transitional to advanced & intensive squads, as well as experienced instructors of adults and additional needs.

Group fitness classes are run through private entities such YWCA, U3A and Let's Move Lake Mac and Rainbow Club.

At Valentine Hydrotherapy Pools, we also provide special needs Learn to Swim classes and squads. This is run by Ellena Morris, who is a fully accredited Learn to Swim disability teacher, Australian swimming coach and coach for the Special Olympics.

Pool —Hydrotherapy in Croudance Bay, NSW

Although we provide many health benefits to the community, our centre receives no financial aid from the state or federal governments. In times of increasing costs, particularly energy, it is a challenge for us to provide these much-needed services. Our 3 main pools are heated by gas and, if you have a gas service at home, you can appreciate the costs involved.

This is the reason for collecting admission fees, selling swimwear, food and drinks, as well as holding fundraising activities. All of the money raised through these events is used to keep the complex up and running.

The pool is situated on council land, but it is not a council pool and, therefore, we pay rates. The pool now also operates the Valentine Swim School.

This lovely facility, which has been in operation for more than 50 years, started with only an oil fire-heated 25m pool. The complex has since grown and developed, now hosting a 25m pool, a 15m pool, a hydrotherapy pool (all of which are gas/solar-heated indoor pools) and an open-air toddlers pool.

Our entry gate, kiosk and shop are all operated by our generous and wonderful volunteers, without whom we wouldn't be able to run the facility.
